Stories about Goatman have their origin in the 1950s, when the residents of Prince George’s County, Maryland, reported that they had seen a two-metre-tall furry humanoid skulking around the place. Apparently, it resembled Bigfoot, but had the back-jointed legs of a goat. Hence, the name “Goatman,” is derived from the shape of its legs, and not from a supposedly horned head.
