All the dangers that Alex, Diana and Maria the Fairy go through in »E paramisi pa kendama« (The Story of a Kendama) introduce the reader to fragments of Romani history, as well as the Roma people’s current situation in today’s Romania. We hope that this book will be a first step towards a fairytale world with heroes familiar to Romani children, or to children who can’t recognize themselves in other stories. Join us on an exciting journey through reality and fantasy!
»E paramisi pa kendama« is the result of the optimism, wisdom and trust of the children of Ferentari, an area in Bucharest that houses many Romanis.
